1961 - The traction change comes.
Some of the routes in the Ruhr area have already been electrified. The then ultra-modern E10 112 with an express train from Dortmund. Locomotive 50 2195 belonging to the Bismarck depot was retired there on June 20, 1966.
The Alma colliery was a hard coal mine in Gelsenkirchen-Ückendorf.
Due to its favorable location, the Alma colliery was part of a network with a coking plant, blast furnaces, cast steel works and rolling mill. The coke produced by the coking plant went directly to the blast furnaces via conveyor bridges.
As with almost all of my illustrations, I work from the background to the foreground.
