Altenhundem 1963: Three locomotives of the class 44, two of them as thrusters at the end of the train, were required on April 13, 1963, to transport the 1900 t heavy coal train from Altenhundem over the steep ramp to Welschen Ennest. The 44 1647 at the top of the train is completely covered in steam.
