A long freight train is tortured on the last stretch before the breaking point of the Steige. For the stoker of this BR59 this train should not have been a walk in the park.
Despite the global economic crisis, the continental transport of goods was firmly in the hands of the railways. Only in the regional delivery service did the truck slowly displace horse-drawn vehicles.
Our cyclist pushes his bike on the steep road, at that time he couldn't even dream of a 27-speed gearshift, let alone an e-bike.
